Miracle babies come in and out of my studio all the time, & my prayer is that they will be blessed coming in and blessed going out! I love getting to hear and see for myself what they have overcome and am thankful for the opportunity to be part of telling their story.
I asked her mother to share a little bit about her first year….
“Reagan was one of my triplets born at 23 weeks and 5 days weighing only 1 pound 4 oz. They attempted to stop my labor, but unfortunately, I had my two sons the next night. All of my children were given a 10% survival rate. Reagan fought from the very beginning. When she was born, they gave her to my husband and I to hold until she passed. After 4 hours, she was still alive and fighting for her life. She was sent to the NICU to start her long journey of growing on the outside instead of the inside. She had heart surgery at 2 weeks old, numerous blood transfusions, IV lines, a breathing tube, a feeding tube and many medical interventions along the way. After 156 days (5 months) she came home to us. Reagan’s two brothers, Ethan and Brendan, unfortunately passed away after two months in the NICU. My daughter is truly a miracle who continues to overcome her prematurity and make progress everyday. “
