ENJOY!

I can’t believe this little miss is going to be a big sister!  I have had the privilege of photographing this family on several occasions, and we are so happy for them!  She reminds me so much of Reagan since they are very close in age.  I know they are going to love having a little boy in their family, and we wish them only the best!

This little guy was a hoot.  And isn’t he handsome??  His dog is getting ‘up there’ in years and his mom and dad wanted some shots of them together.  There is nothing like a good family dog!  Enjoy!

I have got to quit posting without pictures!  I’ve been busy being a momma and my camera has got a little dust on it.  Not for long, though, I have an appointment tomorrow!  =)

I thought I’d share a video I came across today.  The video is of a local young lady, Lauren Roberts.  She is only 13 and is a fantastic singer.  You know I want my kids to sing and play music in church so badly!  I think she is an excellent role model and wanted to give her a shout out!  I’ve heard she’s an SCP fan. I don’t know her very well at all, but I am a fan of her!  This is one of my favorite songs, too!…. Lauren, may God bless you as you minister to people through the gift of song that He has given you!

Turn off the website music first by clicking on the music note at the top left of this page!

I grew up singing in church and it is something special. I still sing with my family and we minister locally in song. Click here to go to our site!

I had not planned on doing any prom pictures this year since baby Max just arrived, but I squeezed in one mini-session for Derrick and Rikkina.  Enjoy!

I photographed Keith and his family at their home a couple weeks ago for his campaign as State Rep.  Enjoy!

I photographed Jackson and Nate a couple weeks ago.  We started at their house and then went to the studio.  Nate was his usual happy self.  Jackson wasn’t much thinking it was a good day to take pictures.  =)  We did sneak a few of him, though.  Would you believe me if I told you that his daddy put a real blue live lobster on my head to make him laugh?  I didn’t think you would, but it’s true.

I love these little guys.  Enjoy!

Imagine you are a bride planning your big day…  so much goes into planning a wedding these days.  Money.  Time.  Details.  Decisions.  Decisions.  Decisions.  Decisions.  Decisions.  So, a week before your wedding, the weather man starts reporting that a ‘mini blizzard’ is heading your way.  There’s not been a snow like this predicted in some time.  Years, perhaps?  There’s nothing to do about it at this point.  Just hope.  Just pray.

So, your day arrives and there is nearly a foot of snow on the ground.  Icy roads.  People are calling and texting to see if the wedding is still on.  Are you kidding?  This is your day.  Is this a nightmare?

Most people would be devastated, disappointed, sad, etc.  Not Leslie!  She called me that morning to make sure we could get out to the church.  The salon where her hair appt. was scheduled had closed so she was out making snow angels instead.  What?  It’s true.  I am telling you.  It’s unfortunate that her day was not as it had been planned, but, seriously…. it could not have happened to a better person!  What a wonderful outlook and attitude!  It was just a pleasure to photograph Leslie and Garrett’s wedding day-from beginning to end.

It was seriously cold and dangerously slick outside, and no one was really up for going out for pictures.  So, we didn’t get that many shots in the snow.  I did get the bridesmaids out for about a minute.  It was a very cold minute! haha

I love this sequence of Leslie with her mom…

And, check out this angel!  Seriously, she looked like an angel.  Jenna was a beautiful flower girl!

Making it official… Mr. & Mrs. Garrett Hill!  One might think that their crowd would be ‘off’ because of the weather, but I thought they had a great turn-out, considering all things.

It was dark by the time the ceremony was over so we didn’t get any outside shots of the newly weds.  We are planning a Mr. & Mrs. shoot for them in the spring.  I’m already looking forward to it!

What a fun reception!  Of course, there were lots of special effects—like fireworks!  Garrett’s dad is the owner of Pyro Shows .  They have worked a lot of major events all over the world.  Some of the fireworks had hearts- I thought that was pretty neat!  Daniel and I both agreed that the fireworks show was the absolute coldest that either of us have ever been in our lives!  haha… A lot of people went in after a minute or two (including me!).. they couldn’t handle it.  Daniel toughed it out and got some neat shots!

Leslie and Garrett are just a fun couple to be around.  They are light-hearted and silly.  It just makes you feel good to be around them.  We wish them a life-time of happiness together!
