Voted "Best Photographer in Campbell County" in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012!
Welcome to my website! My name is Rebekah and my photography business is based out LaFollette, Tennessee. My clients come from all over the East Tennessee area- Knoxville, Clinton, Lake City, Oneida- the list goes on and on! For whatever reason you have found yourself on my website, I hope you enjoy what you see and leave feeling inspired and happy! Please feel free to leave comments or drop me a message!
Here are some fun and random facts to help you know me better!
I’m a mother to three children: Reagan (6), Emmy (4), and Max (2). I am a proud stay-at-home-mom and married to my high school sweetheart, Daniel. Prior to the birth of my first child, I never had any interest in photography! I’m a huge animal lover (more mammals than reptiles)! I have a big heart for strays and enjoy helping at the local animal shelter. We have a parakeet, two dogs, and a rabbit! My oldest daughter wants a fish, horse, cow, and hamster, too. (Can anyone say ZOO?)
I’m very family-oriented. I have a wonderful family! I love all things southern- sweet tea, home-made blackberry jelly, porch swings, wide open fields, tree swings, old quilts- the list goes on and on… My family has spoiled me to only want to eat vegetables from the garden! They raise a garden every year- corn, green beans, potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. My mother cooks often, and we get to eat a lot of great home-cooked meals. Music truly moves me in a special way! I love pretty much all kinds of music (country, pop, gospel, bluegrass, and even rap!). Would you believe I went to a 50-Cent concert in college?!? I mostly listen to contemporary Christian music now, but still love it all. I love to sing! I sing in church with my family. I love harmony! I can play the piano, but am not nearly as musically talented as my brother who can play pretty much anything! I believe that everything good thing in my life has come from God! He has blessed my business over and over again during the past few years. My favorite actor is Steve Carell, Seriously, he is hilarious! I enjoy watching basketball! I really hope at least one of my kids play! In another life, I’d like to be… a shabby chic boutique owner, ummmm, or maybe a famous music artist! Godiva chocolate berry cups = heaven!
On a more serious note...
As a mother to three young children with a degree in Early Childhood Development, it goes without saying that I adore little ones. To me, childbirth is absolutely a miracle and just being in the presence of a new baby makes my heart skip a beat. Equally enchanted by young children, I am captivated time and time again by their free spirits and unpredictable behavior. Often counted trivial, a child’s ability to show raw, uninhibited emotion is fascinating to me.
My love of photography extends into all areas of portraiture, but over the past years, I have discerned my true passion for photographing newborns, children, and high school seniors. Although capturing children was my first true love in photography, I have been drawn more and more to not only capturing subjects but also relationships and emotion. Images that evoke feelings in the heart of the beholder are truly priceless. Time will roll on, but the images that you will surround yourself with will be a everlasting reminder of love.
Creating images, for me, is a personal artistic adventure- something that I can delightfully lose myself in again and again while finding happiness in knowing that the experiences I create are uncommon. Imagine a blank canvas- a vision not yet dreamed! Let’s imagine together and create a natural yet stylized photographic experience that you will always adore. We’ll stop time for a little while and let the light dance around us- bringing forth whimsical, charming images that will seem to stir your very soul.
